I'm the FORDBOY who bites people. I've built 2 other Ford based vehicles, well not exactly, I finished one. The other is in progress. But I drive those wheels off My Aero. You can believe it is no slouch either. The only "slug" we own is Mamma's 96 Taurus 3.0L "U" engined sedan. It's not really a "slug" but it's the slower of oss our vehicles, yet it does run well for over 100K Miles in it. You will notice aside from the 2 wheel machines, & our riding mower, all we own are FoMoCo machines.

People think I'm crazy and I am, just like a Fox, and I'm not referring to automobile platforms for Mustangs or pre Y2K T-Birds either. Being crazy after all is what keeps us from going insane, is it Not ?

I've a 66- F-100 SWB Style Side on a 79 F-150 SWB Trailer Spcl chassis with a "warmed" 385 series (aka 460 CID) & built C-5 3spd A/T. I've been known to cut a 12.60 et with a TE Index of 120+mph in 1/4 mile at a Local NHRA Sanctioned venue. That's in street trim by the way, altho it's on DOT Cheaters which I don't run in the street. It takes the right nite to break the 120mph mark, but is has been done several times.

My other project, the one in progress, is an 85 T-Bird elan running an 88 5.0L, SVO Roller Engine, from a Lincoln LSC Coupe with EEC IV based MAFS/TP-EFI upgrade, running OBD-I logic PCM. It drives thru a Gen-2 or second generation AOD, one with a rear pump, unlike the earlier FoMoCo AODs. It also has 8.8 Dana traction lock & 80's turbo coupe suspension. I know Not what our 'Bird will run, but I presume it will still be able to "Bite People" in their ego. So at least I'll live up to my reputation, Huh?

I am a moderator here. I'll try to keep abreast of TSB & other critical info
and miscellaneous Data as I learn of it. I'll enter posts in Tech' Forums as I complete, or run across things. I'm working on a truly comprehensive way to read DTCs from an OBD-I Type Operating System for EEC-V systems, with PCMs using the OBD-I system.

I am also in the middle of a rather complete biography on the great 4.0L Cologne Engines FoMoCo World Car Europe designed for export to the western hemisphere. These Iron engines and so called because they are made primarily of Iron & Steel main components. Those are the engines we hear people claiming a quarter million or more miles on regularily. It's the engine FORD puts in Transit Vans across the pond to do work we,
use F-350's for over here.
