A look & Explanation of my "Aero Truck"

Here's my unbelievable 95 XLTN Aero with over 235K miles & still running & looking great. It is a RWD (2 Wd only) 4.0l Cologne with OBD-1 & 4 gear AOD A/T. It sits on 225-75R X15 tireas mounted on Grand Marquis alloy turbine wheels. Inside it's 2+2 with all the bells & whistles, from rear Air/Heat & Tunes to Console, Full tinted glass, cruise, you name it it has it.
The backset on the Grand MArquis wheels is right for the Aerostar track width & clearance. A word to the wise here is, if you have soft coil springs and/ or weak shocks you may have clearance issues, but with crisp suspension and all things "right" this is a great set up to run. I personally use sensatrack progressive shocks up front &  HD type Loadlevelers on Sensatracks in the rear. I have a 1000 lb tounge load capability, although i try to keep it around 500- 600 lb max so I can stop if i need to. I have scaled 13,780 and run well pulling a 16"-2 axle tag trailer on a receiver type hitch. Trailer brakes are a must.

I probably have more Aeros than I should, but I have all the parts & stuff I need and I will so some work on special Aeros for other folks from time to time.  Converting to a sealed beam halogen headlight set up is a good way to eliminate those stupid fogged up looking plastic headlamp lenses on 90's & later Aerostars.

Thanks For Looking
